Good Morning Friends,
I just wanted to inform you all that are our colts are doing well and we have new pics of them on the training page of the website. They are both going to be really nice prospects. We are working on getting everyone back in shape and show ready. We may have some older riders for sale as well so call anytime to see what is available. We are also adding new pages to the website including a training page and broodmares page which is currently under construction.
Enjoy this lovely Spring weather!
Hi Friends!
We are getting the ball rolling at BCQH. We are busy conditioning the riders and starting the colts, and really looking forward to Spring. Our two year olds are continuing ground work and will be under saddle soon. We just purchased a nice stud colt from Watson Quarter Horses, he is a grandson of Playin Stylish and has Colonel Freckles and Nu Bar on his papers. We are really excited about this colt. We also have a beautiful and flashy buckskin filly out of Laddy who will be started soon, if she is anything like her siblings she will be a show and trail horse deluxe! We should have pics/videos up within the next month. Keep checking back!
Remember, each horse is unique and cannot be forced into a mold just as we cannot without squelching our individuality. We must train them in a way that brings out the best in each of them. Stay true to yourself and your horse.
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” Dr. Seuss
We have fallen under a blanket of snow again! We hope everyone is being cautious and safe on their travels. We have been colt shopping and have found some really nice prospects. After this snow abates and we get them into the barn we will update you on their progress. Spring will be here before we know it and so will lots of work, so as frustrating as winter weather can be it may seem like a welcomed break by mid-summer. The quote below is fitting for such a time and also for horse training. Remember, patience isn’t a gift given, it is a virtue earned.

I apologize to anyone who has had trouble with the link to our Facebook page. I believe I have it fixed now, it should go directly to our page without asking you to log in.
Thanks!
Rachel
Well we are sold out of two year olds and only have one 2009 filly out of Laddys Midas Touch. Here is a video of her full brother http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecTLsvFxhwk Carol owns and shows her full sister Amber (buckskin), check her out if you visit us, she is big, flashy, and bold, an all around awesome mare. The coming 2 year old is a another nice big buckskin filly. She will be in our training program soon and will be for sale this Spring after she is started.
Carol, Bill, and I are also shopping around for a few good performance prospects to offer for sale this Spring and Summer. This weather is slowing us down a bit but we will continue the search and keeping everyone fit.
Banjo is coming along really nicely; he is riding great indoors and out and acts like a gentleman around the mares. We plan to continue his barrel training and get him on cows and the trails this spring/summer. He is going to be a great using horse and hopefully a great producer of performance horses.
We will also have a broodmares page up this spring so you can view the mares and their pedigrees. Keep checking back, as soon as this weather breaks the ball will get rolling!

Well folks we finally got our first heavy snow here! This is a good time for us to slow down and just be mindful of life. This time of year we tend to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the holidays and then trying to plan for Spring, as we do it seems we are constantly thinking ahead and lose sight of the present. These snowy days ask us to stop and take a breath, to recall our childhood memories of the blessing of snow days, and perhaps even release that child and make a snow angel or two. Let us not be so busy that we forget the little joys. Some days we just need to be.
